1. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022)
Set thousands of years before The Hobbit, this series shows the world in an earlier age. You'll witness the rise of evil, the making of the Rings, and meet young Galadriel and Elrond before they become legends.
It's packed with epic visuals, ancient battles, and fresh characters. If you're new to Middle-earth, this is the first page of the story. Stream it on Prime Video.
2. The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim (2024)
This animated film takes you 200 years before The Hobbit. It follows Helm Hammerhand, ruler of Rohan, and his brave daughter Héra. Their kingdom faces invasion, and their stand gives birth to the fortress known as Helm's Deep.
The artwork is bold, inspired by Japanese storytelling. Even without live actors, it feels powerful. A must-watch to understand the roots of Rohan's bravery.
3. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)
Bilbo Baggins lives a peaceful life - until Gandalf shows up with thirteen dwarves and a quest. They want to reclaim their mountain home from a dragon. Bilbo isn't sure at first, but soon he's running from trolls, goblins, and fate itself.
This film is funny, magical, and full of heart. It's the first step in a long journey that leads straight to the One Ring.
4. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013)
Bilbo and the dwarves push forward, facing giant spiders, hostile elves, and hidden secrets. Their final goal? The Lonely Mountain, where the deadly dragon Smaug sleeps on piles of stolen treasure.
Smaug is huge, fiery, and voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch. This chapter cranks up the action. Bilbo's courage grows, but so does the danger. The story is heating up - literally.
5. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014)
Smaug is gone, but now everyone wants the gold he left behind. Elves, dwarves, men, and orcs collide in a massive battle. Bilbo stands in the middle, torn between friendship, peace, and survival.
This final Hobbit film is packed with emotion and chaos. It shows the true cost of greed and the strength in small acts. It leads directly into the rise of a greater evil.
6. The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
Frodo inherits a magical ring that holds pure evil. To destroy it, he must take it across Middle-earth to Mount Doom. Alongside him are brave friends - some human, some elf, some dwarf, and some hobbit.
This is the start of a legendary trilogy. With epic landscapes, powerful friendships, and looming danger, it's a story of courage, loyalty, and sacrifice.
7. The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)
Frodo and Sam continue their quest, guided by the eerie and twisted Gollum. Meanwhile, Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli fight to save Rohan from destruction. The Battle of Helm's Deep becomes one of the most thrilling moments in fantasy history.
The film masterfully jumps between stories. Loyalty is tested. New heroes rise. And the fate of the world feels more fragile than ever.
8. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
Frodo and Sam crawl toward Mount Doom, the weight of the ring nearly breaking them. Aragorn must claim his destiny and lead the final battle. Armies clash. Cities fall. Hope flickers in the darkest hour.
